Merchants
A merchant is your business — the legal entity that accepts payments through yetipay. When you sign up with yetipay, we create a merchant account that represents your organisation and ties together everything else: your sites, your terminals, and your transactions.
Your merchant account is what you manage through Basecamp, and it's where your API keys, configuration, and payout settings live.
What's linked to your merchant
| Concept | Relationship |
|---|---|
| Sites | Every merchant has one or more sites where payments are processed |
| Terminals | Physical devices registered to your merchant, each linked to a site |
| API keys | Created and managed through Basecamp, scoped to your merchant account |
Key things to know
- One merchant, one business. Your merchant account maps to a single legal entity. If you operate multiple brands or entities, each one would be its own merchant.
- Basecamp is your control panel. You manage your merchant account — API keys, sites, terminals, and configuration — through Basecamp.
- Everything rolls up to your merchant. Reporting, payouts, and account-level settings are all tied to the merchant.
